ZIP
The ZIP was inspired by some of Xanadu's small wave designs of the 80's. With the ZIP we mixed some of the early 1980's small wave board theory with what we have learned from the most recent small wave revolution. This resulted in a lower rocker wave catching machine. This board has a flatter deck with a fuller down rail. A bump is also incorporated into the outline to loosen the board up. This board is fun for down the line surfing in small surf. Think about long 80's style floaters with speedy landings and the Zip is what you get.
The ZIP features a flatter bottom into a slight double concave with exaggerated vee out the corners of the tail. The name for the new tail for the Zip is SQUALOW. This combined with an 80's style rocker and outline produces a hip retro rocket. If you want to go fast, this is the board. The Zip should be surfed in waves from knee high to slightly overhead.
